I took this picture while hiking around Saalburg, an old Roman fort in Taunus Region in Germany. I like how the light hits the beech tree and how it stands out from the dark background that is created by the higher trees around it.

I love the fresh green of beech trees in spring, especially when the  leaves are hit by the sun. It only lasts a few days until it turns into a darker green.
